GUWAHATI, Jan 11: Motorcycle-borne miscreants looted nearly Rs 3 lakh from elderly persons in Dispur Super Market and Pandu areas today.
A police source said that two bike-borne miscreants snatched Rs 2.3 lakh from an elderly person, Jagadish Chandra Goswami, in the Supermarket area at 4.30 pm. Goswami had withdrawn the money from a bank under Dispur Police Station today.
“Earlier during the day, bike-borne miscreants snatched a bag containing Rs 50,000 from one Jadunath Pal when he was returning after withdrawing the money from a bank at Pandu,” the source added.
