GUWAHATI, April 16 � United Sikkim and Southern Samity have qualified for the main round of the 2nd Division National Football League from Group A which concluded here on April 14.
Both the teams gathered 13 points each from six matches but on better goal difference the Sikkim boys topped the group. Now both the teams will proceed to Shillong where altogether eight teams, including Shillong Lajong and Sporting De Goa, relegated teams of last I League will vie for top tow positions and berth in the I League. The Shillong meet will commence from April 25.
In the last matches of the championship Southern Samity defeated North Imphal Sporting Association 2-0 while Sikkim boys outplayed Golden Threads 4-1. In the other match of the final day Langsning Sports Club trounced Gauhati Town Club 3-0.
