By Correspondent

DIMAPUR, Dec 16 The leadership of the three Naga political groups which yesterday declared an unconditional reconciliation NSCN-K, NNC and FGN today announced that all kinds of collections or taxation on shopkeepers and business establishments are banned till proper taxation policy is formulated and announced by the signatories of the declaration.

A press note issued by the publicity wings of the three groups said that following the unity declaration on Tuesday at Khehoi Camp, the leaders of the three groups had also agreed that the immediate task was to control the spiralling demands and donations on the business community by various anti-social elements in Dimapur city and in other parts of Nagaland.

It stated that the leadership of the NSCN-K, NNC and FGN have expressed serious concern over the reports of rampant taxation and donations being collected from shopkeepers and business establishments by individuals, gangs and criminals posing as representatives of political groups.

Stating that any demand for donation may be considered as illegal and unauthorised, it cautioned that any national worker or non-national worker indulging in anti-national activity shall be liable for stringent punishment.
