GUWAHATI, Jan 24 Union Minister for Railways, Dinesh Trivedi will be meeting several Chief Ministers of the North East states on February 1. Discussions to be held at Dispur will centre on specific demands which the states may have, and how best to address those in the forthcoming Railway Budget.
A senior official at NF Railway headquarter Maligaon informed that the outcome of the discussion would depend on how well State Government officials present their cases. The meeting is also expected to dwell on several ongoing projects, including the Bogibeel bridge, which is already behind schedule. The Union Minister would be accompanied by several high-ranking personnel, including the head of the Railway Board.
