GUWAHATI, May 19 - State Education Minister Siddhartha Bhattacharya today inaugurated a new RCC building having six classrooms on the Natun Fatashil Town High School premises.
Speaking on the occasion, the Education Minister said that NGO Round Table India (RTI) has done outstanding work for society by constructing RCC buildings in less privileged schools.
The new classrooms, equipped with table, benches, writing board, light, fan, etc, are aimed at helping the students get better education in a good environment for learning.
Speaking on the occasion, Round Table India chairman Kishan Agarwal said that Guwahati Gateway Round Table-240 (GGRT) and Guwahati Gateway Ladies Circle-158 (GGLC) completed the second phase of its FTE School project at Natun Fatashil High School.
RTI national vice president Piyush Daga and area chairman Dhiraj Golyan along with other members were present in the inaugural function.�
RTI and LC India have constructed the newly RCC building in which three classrooms are on the ground floor and three on the first floor.
The first phase, which was a three-classroom project, was inaugurated in June last year and the remaining three newly-constructed classrooms were inaugurated today.
These classrooms will greatly help the students that had no choice but to either change their school or drop out after studying there till Class VIII. With these six classrooms in place, the problem now stands solved. On an average, RTI and LC India build one classroom each day for such less privileged children of society.
