BONGAIGAON, Oct 20 - A team of Railway Protection Force�s (RPF) Crime Investigation Branch headed by Inspector Sathri Marku seized a total cash amount of Rs 8.7 lakh from one Hasan Basari (35), a resident of Murshidabad district in West Bengal, while he was travelling in an AC coach with a general ticket in Down Kamrup Express train to Jangipur Road in West Bengal on October 17.

The RPF team had noticed his suspicious movement when Hasan boarded the train at Barpeta Station. On reaching New Bongaigaon Railway Station, Hasan was nabbed by the team along with the cash, of which he could not produce any authentic credentials.
