DIPHU, June 27 - Residents of six villages have demanded immediate action against a militant group, People�s Democratic Council of Karbi Longri (PDCK) after a group of three militants allegedly attacked Chondro Athoi village in Langhin area and torched three houses on June 1, injuring some residents.
According to the villagers, the three militants � identified as Klinson Terang, Sarlong Rongpi and Chesong Terang � scooped down on the village at night and set fire to three houses of Horen Teron, Dhoniram Teron and Mosing Teron. Many villagers were indiscriminately thrashed, and three of them received grave injuries and had to be admitted to hospital. One is undergoing treatment at Guwahati.
