Doomdooma, April 7: The United Liberation Front of Assam (ULFA) was born on 7th April, 1979 on the premises of historic Ranghar at Sivasagar. Accordingly ULFA celebrated its 42nd Raising Day today.

The pro-talk fraction of the outfit observed the day at the designated camp at Kakopothar here. The programme began with the hoisting of ULFA flag by its leader Mrinal Hazarika followed by the Swahid Tarpan by Antu Chowdang.

The written message of ULFA President Aravinda Rajkhowa was also read out by Antu Chowdang. Later, a seminar was held on this occasion on the topic "Yuva Prajanmar Swabalambanar Path".

Talking to the media persons, pro-talk ULFA leader Mrinal Hazarika expressed dissatisfaction at the attitude of the Centre over dialogue with the outfit.

"During the previous UPA government the process of the dialogue was progressing in a positive way, but the process was totally stopped during the present NDA government," Hazarika added.
