UDALGURI: June 21 - Three boxers from Udalguri and six from Tezpur bagged nine medals in the 2nd Students� Olympic National Games held at Faridabad in Haryana recently.
Krishna Deka of Tezpur(U-22), Sanjib Mochahary of Udalguri (U-22) and Amal Sharma of Tezpur (U-14) won gold medals while Kamal Deka of Tezpur (U-22), Akash Daimari of Udalguri (U-22), Shyam Mochahari of Udalguri (U-19), Chinmoy Handique of Tezpur (U-19), Parvez Musharaf Hussain of Tezpur (U-17) bagged silver medals respectively. Akash Sharma of Tezpur won the only bronze medal in the meet in the U-19 group.
