GUWAHATI, Oct 26 - Dispur has signed an MoU with the United Bank of India (UBI) on Thursday to extend the benefit of �Apon Ghar�, a State government scheme, to provide subsidised housing loans to its employees maintaining their salary accounts with the bank, stated a press release.
The ceremony took place in the presence of Finance Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma, Minister of State for Labour and Employment Pallab Lochan Das, Additional Chief Secretary (Finance) Rajiv Kumar Bora, Principal Secretary (Finance) Samir Kumar Sinha, Commissioner and Secretary (Finance) Shyam Jagannathan representing the State government, and Abdul Wahid, general manager and Nabin Kumar Dash, DGM & CRM, Guwahati Region, representing the United Bank of India.
On the occasion, Sarma stated that around 51,000 government employees in the State would be able to get benefit of the scheme, added the press release.
