MORIGAON, April 21 � In a tragic road mishap that also lays bare utter lapse on the part of the State PWD, Bhaskarjyoti Bora, branch manager of Bebejia branch of United Bank of India (UBI) died while his Maruti car plunged straight into a water body at Hatibondha bridge on the Morigaon-Roha-Nagaon road last night. Police said that Bora was travelling to Nagaon from Guwahati.
There was no obstruction on the �closed� subway even though the bridge was not on the Hatibondha water body. It was a rainy night and Bora probably could not make out the absence of the bridge and drove right into the water.
His body was recovered this morning. He hailed from Dhing in Nagaon.
