U-7 national chess

GUWAHATI, Sept 30 - A 11-member Assam team participated in the 30th National U-7 Chess Championship organised by Pondicherry State Chess Association on behalf of All India Chess Association, Pondicherry from September 19 to 27. Faheem NH Borah secured the 21st position scoring 7.5 points out of 11 rounds in the boys category.

The other participants in boys category were Pehlaj Dutta (6.5 points), Mrinmoy Rajkhowa (6 points), Priyangshu Goswami (6 points), Abhinavan Sharma (5.5 points) Mayank Chakraborty (5 points), Chinmoy Saikia (4.5 points) and Swaraj Jyoti Neog (3.5 points). In the girls category, Ikshita Barman (5 points), Afsheen Afsha Zaaman (5 points) and Ritkriti Raj (4.5 points), stated in an Assam Chess News press release.
