Two suspected cases test negative

UDALGURI, March 20 - Giving a relief to the entire population of Udalguri district, the two youths isolated at Udalguri Civil Hospital, who were suspected patients of deadly coronavirus, tested negative and it was reported that they were suffering from influenza. The attending doctors had sent their cough and blood samples, the results of which came negative.

The patients are � Simon Ekka (32) of village Majuli, Udalguri who had come from Kerala and Harenjit Barman (26) of Sapangaon, Udalguri who had come from Bengaluru.

Meanwhile, there are reports that many youths of the district working outside have started returning home after they were relieved of their respective jobs due to the coronavirus scare and it is high time for the district administration to screen them before they arrive at their destinations.
