Two students from Tinsukia dist to attend NCSC meet

DOOMDOOMA, Oct 30 - Purbasha Seal of Margherita Public Higher Secondary School and Bibhash Gogoi of Radhakrishnan Academy of Kakopathar in Tinsukia district have been selected as members of the 26- member Assam child scientists� team for the 26th National Children�s Science Congress to be held at Bhubaneswar in Odisha from December 27 to 31.

It may be mentioned here that 15 projects from Tinsukia district were exhibited at the State-level NCSC meet held at Majuli College from October 23 to 26. Altogether, 287 projects were presented by child scientists from 32 districts of Assam in this year�s State-level NCSC meet. A 20-member delegation from Tinsukia district participated in the State-level NCSC meet under the guidance of Tinsukia District Coordinator of NCSC Diganta Kumar Bhajani.

In the State-level NCSC meet, Tinsukia district was awarded the Best District in Academics Award. The sterling performance by the students of Tinsukia district was highly appreciated by the general people here.
