GUWAHATI, April 14: Two more COVID-19 positive cases were reported in Assam today, taking the total novel coronavirus cases in the State to 32.
The first case of COVID-19 today was detected in Goalpara � the fourth in the district.
Dhubri also reported the fourth case later in the day when an women tested positive. She is the wife of a COVID-19 positive person who is connected with both Nijamuddin Markaz and the congregation at Aathgaon Kabarsthan Masjid, Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said.
Earlier in the day, Goalpara got its fourth case.
The patient was part of a group which participated in the Tablighi Jamaat congregation at Nijamuddin Markaz.
Except one, the rest 31 cases of the state are linked to Nizamuddin area in Delhi. One COVID-19 positive patient has died in the state so far.
