DHUBRI, June 1 - Three persons, including a two-month old infant girl, were declared Covid-19 positive in Dhubri district following receipt of their sample test results on Monday.
The infant is from the Fafirganj area of the district and her samples were taken on May 24. �The two-month-old, has been kept in Covid-19 isolation ward of the Dhubri Civil Hospital for treatment along with her mother,� said Dr Joydeep Bhatacharjee.
The other two positive cases are from Gauripur and Chapar areas. All of them have been kept in the Dhubri Civil Hospital for treatment.
It may be informed that most of the recent Covid-19 positive cases are among persons who have come from other parts of the country to the State and were quarantined in mass quarantine facilities, but they tested positive with the disease after they were released from the facilities.
Meanwhile as on Monday, the number of persons staying in quarantine centres has decreased to 8509 persons even as 13,957 persons have been released from these mass quarantine centres. It may be mentioned here that there are 82 mass quarantine facilities in the district. Meanwhile, 8964 persons from the district are in home quarantine.
