AIZAWL, Sept 21 - Mizoram People�s Conference (MPC) and People�s Representation for Identity and Status of Mizoram (PRISM) have decided to merge soon.
The former is a 45-year-old party while the latter was a corruption watchdog which became a political party not very long ago. According to sources, leaders of both the parties held several rounds of meetings and agreed to merge.The sources also said all the formalities were already completed. The merger agreement is likely to be inked in the next few days� time.
On being asked about the nomenclature of the party after the merger, the source said they will decide only after formalising the merger.
