DIBRUGARH, Sept 18 - Two minor girls, who were engaged as labourers by their employers, were rescued yesterday from two separate locations of the city here by the Childline volunteers in collaboration with the District Level Task Force.
One Putuli Kalindi (14) was rescued from Duara Chuk. Kalindi is the daughter of late Budheswar Kalindi and Debari Kalandi of Timona Pelonia Gaon, Dibrugarh. She was working in Parboti enclave hostel for the last three months. The hostel belongs to Bisitra Doley, faculty of Pharmaceutical Department of Assam Medical College & Hospital.
Radha Rajbonshi was rescued from Chiring Chapori Bihutoli Path. She is the daughter of Kajol Rajbonshi and Sila Rajbonshi of Pengeri Mogom Pathar, Tinsukia. She was working as a child labour for the last seven years in the residence of Niranjan Hazarika and Luna Hazarika. Niranjan Hazarika works in a Mumbai-based oil company, Childline volunteers informed.
