JORABAT, Sept 23 - In an unfortunate incident, two minor girls were raped by a group of auto-rickshaw drivers who kidnapped the duo from the 12th Mile and 13th Mile areas near here on Thursday morning. Sources said the kidnappers whisked away the two girls (one is 11 years old and the other is 15) on Thursday morning and took them to an unknown location before raping them.
The two girls were later found in a disoriented condition by the police on the national highway near Byrnihat. The unfortunate girls were handed over to their parents on Friday morning. Meanwhile, the local residents nabbed one of the rapists, identified as Rahul Ali, from the 14th Mile area and handed him over to Sonapur Police. The other four persons are absconding and a search is on to nab them.
