NAGAON, March 7: Within the last 24 hours, the forest personnel from Salna range led by range officer Nepal Mandal seized two illegal sawn timbers laden vehicles including a Tata DI carrier bearing registration numbers AS 02 BC 8747 and AS 03 AC 5032 near Jakhalabandha Bordalani area and at Kathalguri area under the range.
Significantly, during the night patrolling, the forest personnel first seized a Tata DI carrier laden with sawn timbers in the wee hours on Saturday last near at Jakhalabandha Bordalani area. The value of the timbers was more than Rs 50,000.
Similarly, the same forest personnel seized another vehicle laden with valuable timbers near at Kathalguri area last night. The value of the timbers will be more than Rs 75,000, sources claimed.
