SIVASAGAR, Sept 9 - A two-day State-level spiritual conference organised by Sri Satya Sai Seva Samithi (SSSSS) here concluded at the Marowari Milan Mandir here on Sunday.
Addressing the IV session yesterday, Murli Jaju, national spiritual coordinator of SSSSS said that �bhakti �means � jukta� or bonded firmly with God and love for Him is the greatest relation or affinity one can have as one can talk to Him about everything on earth, what one cannot do even with his or her mother. Bhagawan Satya Sai Baba asked his devotees not to go to him if they have not done enough for their parents, Jaju said.
Talking on meditation, Jaju said that of the 126 types of meditations, Jyoti meditation aims at destroying the ego �I� and �Me�. He also said that all things animate and inanimate create certain waves and hence one must reject all things which are not necessary for spiritual uplift or peaceful living.
Rajen Saikia taught the devotees how to perform �japam�. The participants in the panel discussion were Usha Kiron Majumdar, Mukta Biswas and Meena Das. Students of Bal Vikash Kendra, Jorhat, enacted a drama on integration of faiths. The session was also addressed by Nandita Goswami Sarma and Eleye Chakravarty while Utpala Baruah sang a Shiva stuti.
On the inaugural day, Satyen Sarmah, president of SSSSS state committee hoisted the insigne while the ceremonial lighting was done by Murli Jaju, Col Arun Sarmah, Subhan Dhekial Phukan and Bibha Borgohain Bora. Dr Bharati Dutta delivered a speech on Satsang Study Cycle while Dr Mukta Biswas spoke on the importance of spirituality. All the sessions were made lively by intermittent Sai bhajans, cultural programmes and prayer by the devotees. Satyen Sarma summed up the entire session with a brief speech and administered the pledge to the members present. Binod Sarma, district president, subsequently offered the vote of thanks.
