NEW DELHI, April 8 � Union Minister of State for Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER), Dr Jitendra Singh will chair the two-day 64th Plenary Meeting of the North Eastern Council (NEC) beginning here tomorrow.

Governors and Chief Ministers of all eight North Eastern States and top officers from State Governments, Central Ministries and Organisations will attend the meeting. Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi is unlikely to take part in the NEC meeting and instead State Minister Ajanta Neog is scheduled to represent him.
