KOKRAJHAR, March 2 - The Session Judge of Kokrajhar PK Das, AJS has held accused Alongbar Mushahary guilty under Section 302 IPC and ordered rigorous imprisonment for life and a fine of Rs 5000 and in default further simple imprisonment for three months, in session case no. 25/2016 in the matter of State vs Alongbar Mushahary on Tuesday.
The case was registered on June 30, 2016 on the basis of an FIR filed by the victim�s wife at Kachugaon Police Station stating that on June 30, 2016 at about 8 pm, Alongbar Mushahary killed her husband by an axe.
Police registered a case against the accused and following an investigation charge-sheeted the accused mentioned in the FIR under Section 302 of IPC. The prosecution examined as many as seven witnesses in this case.
Meanwhile, the Session Judge of Kokrajhar PK Das, AJS has held accused Ananta Debnath guilty under Section 364-A IPC and ordered rigorous imprisonment for life and a fine of Rs 5000 and, in default, further simple imprisonment for three months, in session case no. 33/2016 in the matter of State vs Ananta Debnath & Others on Tuesday.
It may be mentioned here that the case was registered on July 17, 2015 on the basis of an FIR filed by the victim�s father at Kokrajhar Police Station stating that on July 17, 2015 afternoon accused Ananta Debnath kidnapped his son for the purpose of ransom.
Police registered a case against the accused and following an investigation charge-sheeted the accused mentioned in the FIR. The prosecution also examined as many as seven witnesses in this case.
The judgements of both the sensational cases, which were committed to Session Court Kokrajhar by the Committing Magistrates, were given on Tuesday.
