GUWAHATI, Oct 3 - Two books written by noted cultural activist Gopal Jalan were released by Director General of Police Bhaskarjyoti Mahanta here on Friday. The book Atmopalabdhi is written in Assamese, while the second book Samay Prabah is written in Hindi.
Speaking on the occasion, DGP Mahanta said a number of relevant topics have been incorporated in both the books.
He also laid stress on making such books available in the rural libraries. Referring to the topic of drugs and substance abuse in the books, the senior police officer urged writers and journalists to spread awareness about such issues among the younger generation through their writeups.
