Two arrested for fraud

JALUKBARI, Aug 19 - In yet another case of fraud, a team led by Assistant Commissioner of Police Pranjal Bora arrested two men accused of duping people from across the state of lakhs of rupees.

According to sources, the two men � identified as Mayur Gogoi (29) and Dilip Mohan Joysing (52) � lured many innocent people with promises of more profit in less time by investing in the international share market. The two have duped over 70 people, and many cases have been filled against them.

Based on a case filed by a man named Binod Gogoi of Patgaon under section 406 and 420 of the Indian Penal Code, Azara police laid a trap last night and managed to catch the two men while they were coming to take money from Gogoi from near Dharapur, Azara. Police also recovered two laptops, three mobile phones, some documents and some cash from their office at Beltola.
