Two accused in Excise scam get bail

GUWAHATI, Sept 21 - The Gauhati High Court today granted bail to Deputy Joint Commissioner of Excise Pranjal Bora and Superintendent of Excise Amarendra Nath � both accused in the Rs 40-crore tax evasion scam in the Excise department.

While the accused were represented by advocate BK Mahajan, public prosecutor PP Baruah appeared for the State Government.

Both Bora and Nath were allowed to go on bail on the execution of a bail bond of Rs 25,000 with two sureties of like amounts.
