TU student brings laurels to Assam

GUWAHATI, March 29 � Jurismita Puzari, a final year post-graduate student of Mass Communication and Journalism at Tezpur University has brought laurels to Assam and her university as her work as a media and communication trainer fetched her two reputed awards recently, a press release received here stated.

Jurismita, daughter of JK Puzari and Deepali Puzari of Jorhat was honoured with two prestigious awards in at the iCongo�s REX Conclave 2014-15 held in partnership with the United Nations in New Delhi, on March 21, 22 and 23, 2015. She got the �National Silver Karmaveer Chakra, 2014-15� for best contributions towards education and the �Apeejay Karmayuga Bronze Chakra, 2014-15� for Social Empowerment, nominated by the AFRC. Both the awards are given to someone for inspiring solid character among the people they work with. Jurismita volunteers for AFRC in Wayanad, Kerala as a media and communication trainer.
