TEZPUR, April 8 - Noted academician and professor of the Department of Physics of Tezpur University, Ashok Kumar, passed away at his varsity quarter yesterday following a cardiac arrest. He was 56.
Hailing from Uttar Pradesh, Kumar joined as a professor in Tezpur University in 1999 and had an extensive service in the field of education.
He did his MTech and PhD from IIT, Kanpur in Material Science. He published 160 research papers in the international journals.
His untimely death was widely mourned at Tezpur.
