GUWAHATI, July 4 � The Don Bosco Alumni Association is all set to host the 7th All Assam Open Ranking Table Tennis Tournament and the 4th All Assam Open Ranking Badminton Tournament at the Don Bosco School, Panbazar premises here from July 7 to 10.
Addressing a press conference today, the organisers informed that the tournaments will be organised under the banner of Assam Table Tennis Association and the Assam Badminton Association. Guwahati Sports Association will also extend support to host the tournaments.
The organisers are expecting over 300 paddlers and equal number of shuttlers from ATTA and ABA affiliated units like Nagaon, Golaghat, Jorhat, Dibrugarh, Sivasagar, Duliajan, Namrup, Mangaldai, Tezpur, Silchar, Lakhimpur, NF Rly, and Guwahati.
The badminton competitions will be organised in the age groups of U-12, U-13, U-15, U-17, U-19 (for both boys and girls), men and women while the TT events will be held in 12 groups from cadet to senior.
