SILCHAR, March 25 - Cachar police seized 11 trucks loaded with fertilisers from a place under Borkhola constituency when they were on their way to Mizoram on Saturday around midnight.

According to police, based on secret inputs, a team from Arunachal police outpost rushed to the spot and seized the trucks with chemical fertilisers. Eleven drivers have been arrested, police informed.

�When the drivers were interrogated, they failed to produce necessary documents for carrying the fertilisers. The arrested truck drivers were identified as Manmohan Singh, Harpreet Singh, Parmindar Singh, Bipan Kumar, Karnel Singh, Baldeo Singh, Sandeep Singh, Noor Hasim Ali, Eunus Ali, Abdul Rezzak and Golab Hussain. They hail from Jammu and Kokrajhar,� a senior police official said.

The arrested drivers were sent to judicial custody on Sunday after they were produced before court.
