GUWAHATI, Feb 21 - The table tennis prodigy of the State Trisha Gogoi, as a member of the Indian team won silver medal in the Czech Junior and Cadet Open Table Tennis Championship which is a premier junior circuit TT tournament held at Hodonin, Czech Republic from February 14 to 18, informed ATTA scretary Tridib Duvarah in a release.
The Indian team went down to China in the final and settled for silver.
In the open category the Assam girl was defeated by he Liang Jiyayi of Chine in the pre-quarterfinals. Earlier she represented the Indian team in the World Junior Circuit last year. Trisha was adopted by the Oil India Limited under scholarship scheme based on her performance in State and national circuit. The State TT body congratulated the budding talent for sur success in the recently held international meet.
