AGARTALA, Sept 21 - The overall Covid-19 situation continues to remain grim in Tripura with six more patients having died during the past 24 hours, thereby pushing the total death toll to 245, according to official sources.
However, the report on new Covid infections had not been officially released till the time of filing this report.
Six Covid patients, including former MLA and BJP state committee member Manoranjan Acharjee died yesterday. The continuous Covid deaths have created panic among the people. As many as 230 new infections were reported from the eight districts in the last 24 hours.
As many as 654 Covid patients have recovered during the last 24 hours, which has improved the recovery rate to 70.16 percent from 68.83 percent. The positivity rate has increased to 6.16 percent. The fatality rate (1.11 percent) remains as it was yesterday.
The state has 6,320 active Covid patients while the state�s total Covid tally rose to 22,009 while 15,441 Covid patients had recovered so far.
