GUWAHATI, July 29 � It was a triple crown for Pranjala Yadlapalli of Andhra Pradesh as she won the girls U-14, U-16 and U-16 doubles titles in the OIL-AITA Super Series Tennis Championship at the Chachal complex here today. In girls U-14, Pranjala walked away with the title after getting a walkover against Jahnvi Gupta of Delhi.
In the girls U-16 doubles final, the pair of Sruta Kirti Gunaganti and Pranjala beat Delhi girls Vanishika Sawhney and Karman Kaur 6-1, 6-3. Then in girls U-16, Pranjala overcame Shambhavi Dixit of Andhra Pradesh 6-3, 6-2.
Local boy Parikshit Somani�s good run came to an end as he was beaten by Dhruv Pal of Uttaranchal 6-1 6-1 in the boys U-14 final of the OIL-AITA Super Series Tennis Championship at Chachal complex here today.
The boys U-15 title went to Fatehdeep Singh of Punjab who defeated Jude Raymond of Andhra Pradesh 7-5, 6-2. The boys doubles final was won by the duo of Vignesh Prabhu and Vishu Prasad after they defeated Richie Aggarwal and Dhruv Pal 6-4, 6-3.
At the close of the tournament, the prizes were distributed by Subhash Ch Das, president of the All Assam Tennis Association and Dipty Dayal Khound, general manager of Oil India Limited.
