GUWAHATI, June 14 - People from different walks of life today paid tribute to the father of mobile theatre, Achyut Lahkar at Dighalipukhuripar in a programme organised by the All Guwahati Students� Union.
The programme started in the evening with �Nrityacharya� Jatin Goswami paying floral tributes and veteran actor Abdul Mazid lighting the earthen lamp.
AASU advisor Dr Samujjal Kumar Bhattacharyya, president Dipanka Kumar Nath, general secretary Lurin Jyoti Gogoi, Asam Sahitya Sabha general secretary Dr Paramananda Rajbongshi, artistes Ramen Barua, Pranjal Saikia, Kula Barua, Munin Barua, JP Das, Chetana Das, Moloya Goswami, Prastuti Parashar, Krishnamani Chutiya, Barnali Kalita, Tarali Sarma, sculptor Biren Singha and music composer Dr Hitesh Barua were among those attending the event.
