IMPHAL, April 13 � Following the Manipur High Court ruling, people including relatives paid floral tributes at the memorial of proscribed Revolutionary People�s Front (RPF) in Imphal West district of Manipur on Monday.
People have been observing the Martytrs Day on April 13 in memory of nine cadres of RPF who were killed in a gunfight on this day 33 years ago at Kodompokpi village under Nambol police station.
Mention may be made that the High Court ruling came in the wake of an appeal made by the family members of the deceased RPF/PLA cadres seeking permission to pay floral tributes as in the previous years and praying that no restrictions be imposed.
