GUWAHATI, Sept 15 � Artist Champak Barbara, who is also a cartoonist with The Assam Tribune group of newspapers, received threats to his life from unknown miscreants who threatened him over phone today, telling him that he �would be finished� within a month.
Barbara has lodged a complaint with the Chandmari police station in this connection.
Barbara said that he received a call on his cell phone around 2.25 this afternoon, with the caller using abusive language and threatening him of dire consequences.
�Without any preliminary conversation and without citing any reason whatsoever, the caller told me very rudely that I would be finished within a month,� Barbara said.
