Tribune scribe reaches Delhi

NEW DELHI, April 4 - Senior journalist of The Assam Tribune, Devol Nath after touching the four corners of India has reached Delhi here last evening.

Nath on his motorcycle after spending a night in the national capital left on his way home here this morning.

He said that he has so far covered around 9,000 km and crossed the four corners of India. �I am going back to Assam and reach Guwahati on April 10,� he told newsmen here.

Senior journalist Devol Kumar Nath, who has been working with The Assam Tribune as Chief Sub Editor, is embarking on a solo motorcycle ride to the four corners of India as part of his campaign to spread awareness about the natural and cultural heritage of the North East .

Nath started his 33-day solo ride on March 6 from Guwahati to Kanyakumari, and then to Dwarka, to Srinagar and back to Guwahati, with night halts all the way.

�During my trip, I will be an unofficial ambassador of the North East to the rest of India, which will provide me the unique opportunity of spreading awareness about the beauty of the North East not only with respect to flora and fauna but also in the context of culture and tradition of the people, including its famed tradition of gender equality,� he said.
