SILCHAR, Jan 3 - Debashish Banik, Badarpur correspondent of The Assam Tribune passed away at NEIGRIHMS in Shillong on Thursday. He was 50. He is survived by five brothers and three sisters.
According to family sources, he was admitted to the hospital on December 27 after he experienced kidney and liver-related complications.
A dedicated scribe, Banik had a long association with The Assam Tribune. His death was widely mourned.
