GUWAHATI, Jan 6 - A meeting of the Regional Transport Authority (RTA) of Kamrup Metro district was held at the Deputy Commissioner�s office here today.

The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Dr M Angamuthu, Deputy Commissioner of Kamrup Metro, who is also Chairman of the RTA. The meeting decided to change the nomenclature of the ten-seater share taxi service plying in the city to �Metro Share Taxi�. The decision was taken following a recent directive by the Gauhati High Court to phase out old vehicles plying as share taxis and introduce new vehicles by March 31 this year, said an official statement.ern of the Guwahati Refinery authorities in securing safety to all its employees and contractual workers along with increasing productivity of the refinery.

Executive Director Jogen Barpujari, while extending his New Year wishes to the employees and the guests, spoke on the achievements in the past year as well as the new ventures taken up by the organisation in the areas of petrochemical business, alternative energy, etc.

Barpujari also spoke on the emerging challenges for the refinery and urged all to strive hard to focus on the goals and achieve them while keeping safety considerations in mind at all times.
