Translated Versions Of ‘Mann Ki Baat,’ Letters To His Mother Presented To PM

Guwahati, Jan 28: Creating a benchmark in the history of book publication in Assam, city-based publication house Assam Publishing Company has published the translated and assembled versions of two books relating to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.


During his recent visit to Sivasagar, Modi received the books from the publisher, Sanjay Kumar Sanyal, according to a press note issued here.


One of the books is Ailoi Chithi, Assamese translated version of the book comprising his letters to his mother. The translation was done by Utpal Datta, former Assistant Director of the All India Radio, Ranchi).


The other book is Mor Priya Deshbashi, a compilation of selected potions from the radio programme ‘Mann Ki Baat’ done by Namrata Datta. Leading artist Saurish Mitra has made the book covers as well as the illustrations.


Sanyal, who was invited to Sivasagar in connection with the books for a one-to-one meet with Modi, said Modi praised the publications and told him to keep up the good work, the press note added.
