GUWAHATI, March 30 � Once again travel plans of thousands of train passengers would be hit by a proposed bandh in the Rabha Hasong areas of the State as several passenger trains are cancelled or diverted.
According to the NF Railway, in view of 100-hour bandh declared by some organisations in Rabha Hasong areas, the train running in the Kamakhya- New Bongaigaon section via Goalpara Town have been either cancelled, or diverted through the North bank route via Rangiya.
�Today, two pairs of passenger trains 706 Dn Guwahati � New Bongaigaon passenger and 707 Up New Bongaigaon � Guwahati passenger trains will remain cancelled and 3248 Danapur � Kamakhya Capital Express will be diverted via Rangiya.
From March 31 to April 3, two pairs of passenger trains, namely 705/706 and 707/708 Guwahati- New Bongaigaon Passenger will remain cancelled.
Anticipating the bandh, the 3247/3248 Kamakhya � Danapur Capital Express, 2501 Guwahati- New Delhi Purvottar Sampark Kranti Express, 5668 Kamakhya � Gandhidham Express, 2518 Guwahati � Kolkata Garib Rath Express, 2345/2346 Guwahati- Howrah Saraighat Express and 5619 Gaya � Kamakhya Express will be diverted via Rangiya on March 31.
The next day, 3247/3248 Kamakhya � Danapur Capital Express, 5942 Dibrugarh Town � Jhajha Express, 5644 Kamakhya � Puri Express, 2345/2346 Guwahati � Howrah Saraighat Express, 5901 Dibrugarh �Yesvantpur Express, 5761 Ranchi � Guwahati Express will also be routed through Rangiya.
The 3247 Kamakhya- Danapur Capital Express, 2346/2345 Guwahati- Howrah Saraighat Express, 2502 New Delhi - Guwahati Purbottar Samparkranti Express, 2517 Guwahati �Kolkata Garib Rath Express will be diverted on April 2.
More trains will be diverted from their original routes on April 3. The trains to be affected are 5902 Dibrugarh Town � Yesvantpur Express, 2346/2345 Guwahati- Howrah Saraighat Express, 2502/2501 New Delhi - Guwahati Purbottar Sampark Kranti Express, 2518 Guwahati �Kolkata Garib Rath Express, 5762 Guwahati � Ranchi Express and 5941 Jhajha � Dibrugarh Town Express.
