DIBRUGARH, Dec 13 - A daylong training programme on sustainable development of the district was held here today, which was convened by the Transformation & Development Department of the State Government. The programme was attended by several district-level departmental heads, including Dibrugarh DC Laya Madduri.
State Government-recognised development consultant JC Phukan and UNICEF consultant Wahida Rahman addressed the officials on the scope of sustainable development in Dibrugarh district.
To arrive at a more clear development picture, a committee has been formed with the DC as the chairman. This committee will seek to identify tardiness in the implementation of government activities and recommend curative measures.
