Training programme on avian farming

MANGALDAI, May 9 - Shaan Agri Orchard, a leading organisation, organised an awareness-cum-training programme for the local entrepreneurs at Mangaldai Block Chowka on avian farming recently. As many as seventy youths from Lakhimpur, Narayanpur, Dhekiajuli, Guwahati, Dudhnoi, Barpeta and Udalguri besides home district Darrang took part in the day-long programme.

Dr Yugabrata Nath, a senior veterinary officer of the Darrang Veterinary and Animal Husbandry Department, while taking part in the training programme explained in details about the avian farming like scientific rearing of duck, poultry and highly-demanding Japanese quail and also replied the queries raised by the participants.

Sharing his experience, Nath appealed to the participants to create a hassel-free ambience to run trade and commerce.

Speaking on the occasion, Director of �Shaan Agri Orchard� and a leading avian entrepreneur, Kushal Deka, explained commercial prospects of avain farming across the globe and appealed to the participants to dedicate themselves in achieving their goals.

He also underscored the need for creating a market by their products . The programme, which began with the ceremonial lightening of the traditional earthen lamp by entrepreneur and senior journalist Bhargab Kumar Das and it was attended by senior mediaperson and secretary of Mangaldai Media Circle Mayukh Goswami among others. The participants expressed satisfaction with the move of the organisation. They said that such type of programme would benefit the youths of the State.
