JORABAT, Sept 14 - A training programme on mental health for medical officers was conducted by the Department of Psychiatry at the District Hospital, Sonapur today.
The objective of the programme was to manage mental disorders in primary health centres and community health centres. Dr Bhanita Boro, Hemanga Thakuria, Rupali Barman and Manika Deka were the resource persons. Dr Ulupi Phukan Baruah, superintendent of the hospital was also present. Over 20 medical officers from Kamrup (M) district attended the event held under the National Mental Health Programme.
