Training on LMV driving

GUWAHATI, June 1 - The Rural Self Employment Training Institute (RSETI), Kamrup (Metro) of Assam Gramin Vikash Bank completed a 15-day light motor vehicle (LMV) driving training programme on May 31. This was an intensive training imparted to 24 ST/OBC youths of the district who desire to be entrepreneurs in the field of transportation.

The training was conducted with technical support of JB Motor Driving Training Centre, Chandmari, Guwahati.

The programme was inaugurated with lighting of the lamp by Pradip Nunisa, District Transport Officer, Kamrup (M), in the presence of DC Nath, director of the Institute. In his inaugural speech, Nunisa highlighted the duties and responsibilities of a public transport driver.

The valedictory programme of the training was attended by Kamal Bhowmik, Regional Manager, Assam Gramin Vikash Bank, RO, Guwahati, Anjan Boro, Traffic In-charge, Chandmari Police Station and DC Boro, JB Motor Driving Training Centre, along with other dignitaries to boost the morale of the trainees.

DC Nath, in his address, stated that the training programme on LMV driving was conducted as per the guidelines of the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India, and National Centre for Excellence of RSETIs (NACER), Bengaluru. These trainees will receive constant support and guidance from RSETI officials for the next two years.
