SILCHAR, April 14: The two-day training of trainers on preparedness on COVID-19 was completed on Monday.
According to Suman Choudhury, District Media Expert, NHM Cachar, 56 trainees including 24 doctors, 31 nurses 19 programme managers, underwent training at the AMSA House of Silchar Civil Hospital and also at the conference hall of DRDA Cachar.
They will be the trainers for the other staff at block level, he added.
Deputy Commissioner Barnali Sarma addressed the participants at the AMSA House.
The Deputy Commissioner visited a residential home for autistic children and mentally retarded persons. She distributed essentials like rice, dal, sugar, milk and biscuits. She also gave hand sanitisers, face masks, soaps to the authorities of the residential home.
The Deputy Commissioner asked the cook and the caretaker to maintain proper handwashing chores before serving food.
