Training on COVID-19 patients imparted to 43 Nalbari doctors

NALBARI, April 7 - Out of 99 suspected COVID-19 patients from Nalbari tested so far, samples of 91 were found negative.

Four persons from Uttar Pradesh taking shelter in the district tested positive. Results of the remaining four persons are still awaited.

The Deputy Commissioner of Nalbari told this correspondent that the persons who were more vulnerable after contact with the Nizamuddin Markaz link have already been picked up and sent to the Sarusajai quarantine camp.

He further informed that the district administration organised a series of training camps on precautions to be taken by the doctors who handle COVID-19 positive cases. Inaugurating the training camp, the DC called upon the doctors to be more serious while treating the patients in order to check any further infection.

A total of 43 doctors attended the training. Senior doctors Dr Sasanka Sekhar Chakravarty, Dr Manjuri Barkataki and Dr Lina Nath imparted training to the doctors.
