GUWAHATI, Feb 3 - The Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship (IIE), Guwahati, in collaboration with Pradhan Mantri Yuva Yojana (PMYUVA) organised a training of trainers (ToT) for faculties and trainers of select ITIs, polytechnics, Jan Shikshan Sansthan, PMKK and PMKVY centres of Assam and Meghalaya on the IIE campus here today.
PMYUVA is a flagship scheme of the Union Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship.
The project aims to promote entrepreneurship as an alternative career choice and enable sustained long-term mentoring support through the journey to potential and early-stage entrepreneurs. IIE is the implementing agency for the scheme for Assam and Meghalaya.
The training was conducted in two phases. The first phase of training was for the trainers of Jan Shikshan Sansthan, PMKK and PMKVY centres of Assam and Meghalaya. The second phase of training was for the trainers of ITIs and polytechnics of Assam and Meghalaya.
The training was held in accordance with the pilot project under PMYUVA to impart entrepreneurship education and training among the students of the selected 15 ITIs and four polytechnics of Assam and Meghalaya and nine PMKK and PMKVY centres and three Jan Shikshan Sansthans of Assam and Meghalaya. The training programme was attended by 46 faculties and trainers of the selected ITIs, polytechnics, Jan Shikshan Sansthan, and PMKK and PMKVY centres.
