GUWAHATI, Nov 15 - In view of the indefinite rail blockade programme launched by the North Cachar Hill Indigenous Students� Forum from 8 am today, train services on the Lumding-Badarpur hill section have been affected. As a result of the blockade, some trains have been cancelled or short terminated, said an official statement issued by the NFR.
The Guwahati-Silchar passenger train which left Guwahati on November 14 and arrived at New Haflong station at 11:08 am today has been short terminated and will remain cancelled between New Haflong and Silchar. The Silchar-Guwahati passenger train which arrived at Badarpur at 8:35 am today has been short terminated and will remain cancelled between Badarpur and Guwahati. The Sealdah-Silchar Kanchanjungha Express which arrived at Lumding at 8:58 am has been short terminated at Lumding.
