GUWAHATI, Feb 11 � The Assam Traditional Sports and Dragon Boat Association is going to host a carnival of traditional sports at the Uzanbazar river beach here from February 14 to 16, stated a release.
The carnival, billed as � Our Game Our Joy � has been organised with the objective to promote traditional values and customs of all religion, cast, creed, group through traditional sports and culture.
The organisers have invited teams from all the States of the north-eastern region.
Events like traditional boat race (men/women), egg fight, tug of war (men/women), wrestling (men/women), women�s earthen urn breaking, bamboo peng race, dhop khel, paxa khel, etc will be held in the event.
